A gorgeous bar that gives you a warm, cosy feeling every time you walk past. With fireplaces, snowy views through the windows, and classic wooden décor, it’s the perfect place to unwind. If you’re feeling brave enough for the cold, there are fire pits outside to keep you warm. It’s almost always bustling with live music on some evenings, making it a great spot to relax after a day of skiing. The cocktails were excellent, and as always, the service was friendly and attentive. I’d skip the pizza though. We struggled to finish it. It wasn’t necessarily bad, as even a bad pizza is still pretty good, but I have no doubt there are more satisfying options on the menu. A pizza is only as good as its base, and this one had a crust that felt more like a ready-made version than a proper stone-baked Italian dough.

We had an amazing experience at the Mallard Lounge in Fairmont Chateau Whistler. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, enhanced by the fantastic live band playing in the background. We enjoyed complimentary drinks and decided to order some snacks and cocktails as well. Everything was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the mountain vibes. Highly recommend!

I visited mallard twice and found the place to be superb, very beautiful lounge and superb cocktail. Samantha our waitress made the experience much better than some places in Whistler, she was able to recommend and describe all kinds of cocktails that suited our palates. Very professional and smiling. Thank you very much, we will come back

My husband and I recently visited the Mallard Lounge during our stay at Fairmont and thoroughly enjoyed our time there! My husband tried a number of wines and I tried a couple zero proof cocktails, all of which were delicious but the Egyptian Lemonade was definitely my favourite! We rounded out our evening with an order of the Truffle Fries which were also delicious! Our server, Blair O, was very attentive and personable and we look forward to coming back to the Mallard next time we're in Whistler!

We stopped in for a couple of drinks and had a great experience! Our server was friendly and welcoming and the cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced. My partner had the Castaway Old Fashioned and said it was one of the best he’s had. We’ll definitely be back!

Truly an amazing restaurant, definitely one of my favourites in Whistler. The food is excellent: it's delicious, so flavourful, has that homey and warm taste and always cooked to perfection. It was so good that we had dinner there three nights in a row! One of my meals was the fish and chips. I was so impressed by how the crispiness of the batter did not drown out the taste of the fish. I also had to go for the Mallard Nachos; the lovely saltiness of the chips themselves meshed perfectly with the cheese (which was spread throughout the nachos [a nice touch]) and the toppings. Our hostess, Sarah, was so kind and truly had a genuine smile and attitude which made us feel comfortable and helped us enjoy our meal even further. There is also live country and jazz music which contributes to the ambiance of the restaurant. Overall, a splendid experience which I am certain to repeat during my next visit!

Super excited they were open for dining in and patio when we stayed at the Fairmont. Very elegant with beautiful views of the mountains. Inside decor is upscale; outside is more casual but just as beautiful. Food is just fabulous. Over the time I have tried three items: burger (double decker burger), chicken, and prime rib dip. These are all common food but they don’t taste like your common food. Prime rib is hands down the best I have ever had. Fries were a bit too dry (too crispy?) though but I’m forgiving on that considering the quality of everything else! Oh and you should try their chairs by the fire pits. Perfect for night time chat over wine and their layered chocolate cake!
